I walk around the streets of Seoul. A mask covers half my face as a beanie rest on my head. My eyes are drawn towards the couples linking arms and holding hands. I walk and think about the stubby yet beautiful fingers that are always accessorized with rings. I look down at my hand and imagine those fingers wrapping and interlining mine.
I look back up towards the couples with envy, of how they can show their love for each other so publicly.
I look up at the sky and I can’t help but to,
Wish that one day I can hold your hand in mine, as we walk together.
Wish that one day I can pull you close in a hug in the middle of the streets.
Wish that one day I can announce and yell to everyone that I love you.
Wish that one day I can kiss you with all the love I have for you, in front of the sea of red.
And
Wish that one day I can do all this, while each of us has a simple yet elegant ring on our fourth finger on our left hand. Where it would shine and glisten and everyone would see it.
My eyes close, and I promise you, that day will come, where we can show our love freely, and not behind closed doors. That I promise you, underneath the sun, moon, and stars, with all the love I have and beyond.
