Madonna and me

I had a Madonna phase in the 80’s (didn’t everyone). It never went as far as bleaching my hair with napalm but I did spend actual money on that Sex book (you can pretend you don’t know me). It started with a review of Desperately Seeking Susan (a perfectly OK movie) where the reviewer was a little damming with faint praise about Madonna’s acting (

Oh, but this makes me awfully nostalgic! My best friend when I was a teenager was THE biggest Madonna fan (bought *everything* she could get her hands on!), so I was very, very, very familiar with her back in the day. :)

I saw that movie years later on TV and loved it. It ruined my fashion sense forever and gave me a bizarre fascination with stage magicians and 80s pop.

Thank you, I'd forgotten but deepad mentioned it in a review of lum's 300 vid and I remembered. This was Kurt and Mercedes's episode for sure.
