I've only recently discovered the joys of the early DCU, wich basically means that my love for this cracky era is still a kind of a shock for me, especially because I still can't belive how much I love it.

And then, this little morsel falls into my hands.

I love the feel of it, I love how clearly I can picture the setting, I love the (seemingly) innocent tone of the story, I love LittlePouty!Dick, I love how the big fight happens off screen, I love the rooftop bonding session and how much more emphasis Dick puts on meeting The Flash than the rest of the night, and you wouldn't belive how much I would love to see the rest of the CatBat match...

In other words, this combination of Las Vegas 50's camp, strange new sexuallities and cuddlines is a thing of joy!

I love the Golden and Silver Ages, so I understand your shock - I never expected to feel quite this *overjoyed* by the stories, but I do.

I'm very, very happy to hear that this story captured the feel of that era for you. I had a ball trying to accomplish that.

I have a confession to make -- I have never read New Frontier.

But this is GLOSSFIC, and so must be read.

Dick is the CUTEST THING EVER. So cute omg, with the dress shoes and the sulking and wanting to see the fight and knowing how Selina moves -- because he *would*.

But Dick is Robin now, in spirit if not costume, and he cannot let himself be bothered with -- all of *that*. Foibles and excesses and the like. He has a job to do.

Oh, he is SO Golden Age.

And his fanboyness is *adorable*. WEE BABY DICK. FANBOY. *haaaaaaaaaaaaaaart*

I just love the way you captured the Golden Age feel. Now I must go buy the New Frontier GN. I did see the film, though, which I thought was excellent.
