Room 420, Thursday Evening

Chloe was laying on her bed working on a new story when the phone rang. She wasn't expecting anyone to call and anyone who wanted her would come to her room to find her. The phone rang again and she reached over to answer it.

After visiting her common room, Ino wandered down a floor looking for a Rookie.

She could like and say that her Rookie-senses (stolen from Reno) were tingling, but really it was just that they hadn't yet had ice cream and so Ino was planning to bug her about that.

"... What'd the ceilin' ever do to you to deserve a sound like that, Rookie?"

Chloe turned back over and smiled when she saw Ino. "Not the ceiling. The phone call that came that caused me to stare at the ceiling and then hide under my pillows." She sat up. "Hey, Ino. What's new?"

"Common room is swarming with people," she said cheerfully, inviting herself in and wandering over to eye Chloe. "And ceiling groaning phone calls ain't a good thing, I shouldn't think. Don't take you as the sort to like that sort of thing anyway."

That was her roundabout way of wanting to know what was up.

She planned to tell Ino everything, anyway.

"Come have a seat." She pulled her hair back from her face. "I do when the others that are in hiding like me need me to get together with them to meet these people that want to take down the people that experimented on me and killed kids like me. There's a reason I'm in hiding, and my friend Tori says that they need me so they can show these other people just what this group has done."

She sighed. "A necromancer, a werewolf, a sorcerer, and a witch..."

K-Mart had to wander by Chloe's room. Two reasons. One, just because. And two, also just because. (Well, and the matter of she hadn't really seen her little sibling in a while and that kind of thing just wasn't gonna fly.)

So that would be K-Mart in the doorway, looking confused at Chloe.

"No suffocating yourself, please. I'm not gonna be the one to tell Tori you suffered self-inflicted death by pillow. She'd kill me."

Chloe rolled over and gave her a small smile.

"Tori wouldn't kill you, but she'd demand to know why you didn't know about it and stop it."

"So... Why with the suffocating?" K-Mart asked. "Do I need to start worrying about something?"
