First of all, thank you very much for bringing this up! Nobody had spoken to me about this yet, so I'm grateful that you had the courtesy to bring it up~
But... if it's not too much of a hassle, may I ask you to clarify a little? I generally try to keep actual OOC commentary to an absolute minimum for threads (and usually try to separate it from the IC dialogue/third-person text somehow), and I normally do use third-person text in brackets, so I'm afraid I'm not entirely sure what the problem is.
If the amount of text I tend to write in brackets is part of the issue, I could try to tone that down a little. But I usually use that to describe both her actions and her actual thoughts regarding the current situation, since they can differ a lot from what she says, so I'm not sure if I'd be able to do much about that.
Apologies for tl;dr-ing a little there; I'd simply like to make sure I didn't misunderstand you~
Huh... Well, I really don't have a problem with people giving constructive criticism anonymously. I wouldn't have enabled anonymous commenting otherwise~ And besides, you've been very polite as well!
Ahh, I see. Generally, when one of my comments includes some of Nu's thoughts in brackets, I don't really expect to have the character she's interacting with to pick up on it. It's mostly just meant to give a little more insight to the reader regarding what she's thinking compared to what she says and does. Hopefully that'll clear things up a little. ♪
Thank you very much for that suggestion! I've been considering something similar to that for a while (though so far I'd only been considering removing the italics for third-person), and that does seem like a good way to place a difference between thoughts and third person. So... I'll definitely be keeping your suggestion in mind for the future, anon!
First of all, thank you very much for bringing this up, Zane! I really appreciate it, I do.
I... was admittedly having some trouble with that thread, partially because the whole being-sick-for-weeks thing wasn't exactly helpful with tagging back then, and because on one hand, as you say, Nu is normally very straightforward (and honestly, under normal circumstances, she'd happily have admitted that she was responsible for Sheik's death), but on the other, Yuber did tell her that she should try to conceal her involvement. Pointing out that Ragna's accusation was flawed was one way to try to get out of that, but... I really could have handled that a lot better, I'll gladly admit

This all makes more sense now, and I'm really glad it's all cleared up. But that 4koma doesn't really seem like it's a good indication of canon/official things -- and even if it were official, it really seems like it's more crack than something to suggest Nu having a skill in anything. Especially considering the other 4koma related to that one.
Plus, that seemed to be more of her imagination than her actual drawing, but that might just be me. But it's more believable with practice, so it's not that big of a deal with a year's worth of it. Just saying.
But yes! I'm very glad that you've cleared up my concerns.
Well, the 4koma's official, at least - the untranslated version's on the official site. Admittedly, it probably is intended as crack, but since the gag reels occasionally hint at stuff... might as well suspect there's some truth in the 4komas too. Especially since some of them do verify some minor information (like the Blazblue world still having Christmas, though that's easy enough to guess).
It's... probably a combination of both, honestly. She's fantasizing, but she's also staring at that comic in front of her, which is specifically noted as being self-made, so... hrm. But yes. Practice matters more in this case, I'd say.
If there's anything else you ever want me to clear up, just lemme know! I don't mind explaining stuff. ♪
