So now that I'm trying to get blogging again, I find myself stymied as to what my "theme" should be. In much the same way as in art, the key to success in blogging seems to be consistency. i like your wry social commentary myself. while you might be loathe to write about your own relationship -- though, hey it might be.... fuck what's the word?....cathartic -- i think your writing on dating and romance is pretty strong.

i also enjoy your opinions on books and tv. maybe you could do cultural critiques with a focus on dating and relationships?

I've always thought your stuff on social interactions- both descriptions of your relationships/friendships/past crushes and about social interactions in a general sense- is really, really strong and funny and true.

Not that your writing isn't generally good, but when I think back to my favorite of your entries over the years, they all seem to fall into the "on people" category. You always seem to strike a nerve with those.

No one wants to read a blog that is nervous about no one reading. Personally, I hate consistency and was happy to find your writing was different dependent on whatever caught your fancy at the time. CALM DOWN, ALIA.

I wouldn't pick one focus for your blog, it will narrow down stuff that you might put in there because, "it doesn't fit your focus". I'm 36, and only some of my shit has stuck to the wall, so don't worry - it never ends.
