There is certainly something to be said for compromise in the name of effective politicking. I sort of feel that when one votes libertarian though, it's almost more about being idealistic than practical. Not to mention the fact that according to the wiki page on him he has on at least one occasion fought the spirit of the Constitution

It's been quite a while since I've been active on Livejournal.
I must say, the idea that signing a statement is unconstitutional seems completely bizarre to me. On top of that, I would imagine there are much more important things to be concerned about with regards to the Constitution and what Congress is doing or what the President is advocating Congress do.
I'm not on his mailing list, but I have been keeping an ear out as to whether Ron or Rand Paul will run.
Never has the Constitution had so many "enemies, domestic" as today... and the sad part is that so many of them, especially those in Congress and the White House, are sworn to defend the Constitution. Against themselves.
