Wow. This was amazing! I love all the incredible imagery in this, especially of the thoughts of the monster inside, as it were - you make this future Azula such a compelling character, I love everything you've ever written about her, and can't wait for more!

You have their characters down so beautifully - the flat was Azula speaks - especially the "dismissive tone to which all lesser dismissive tones aspired" - oh, so very true! - and how Ty Lee is so constantly upbeat.

The little details of Azula's mental state are so beautifully, horrifyingly comelling - the "thing wearing her", the covering up of the mirror, the way the "thing" speaks - this is just seriously amazing. I love it so much. I want to read more about her so badly! <3

Loling hard at "subscriptions". Hee! Yeah, that makes sense, Ty Lee being in charge - it's the only way the dynamic would even out, wouldn't it?

And ooh, looking forward to more Post War fics SO MUCH - there's no way they can possibly disappoint! :D

I really loved the general sinister tone that infected the piece even if the setting itself was supposed to be picturesque. Like the part with the neighbor killing his wife and how it's just stated, not confirmed as real or false or anything just as a part of her observations. And, of course, how Azula gives up a little ground to Ty Lee but as a whole she's just so messed up you kind of take away anything as a pyrrhic victory.

And the research on the anti-psychotic medicines was a nice touch of reality. I really, really love how you portray their dynamic.
