This is me making a blatant attempt to distract myself from impending disaster. Help me get away with it?

7. Silmarillion, Finarfin/Nerdanel, running for their lives.

All right, so this is not really a romantic pairing, because they are Tolkien elves and they are married to other elves (though I suppose Nerdanel could get her marriage to Feanor annulled, but that's another story). But it is very close to being one in my head, after most of the Noldor go across the sea and Earwen returns to the Teleri and Indis and her elder daughter go to live with the Vanyar, and basically Finarfin and Nerdanel are left to piece their society together and keep each other from falling apart.
