I'm aiming with this series to keep the hope alive. The characters, more often than not, in the Walking Dead a merely surviving and while that's a good thing it's not a life--or at least not a very good one.

Thank you for reading!

I love this universe so much! Will there be any supernatural threat in this 'verse or have the creepies been driven out by the Walkers?

Thank you! The supernatural isn't really much of a threat at this point. They're attempting to survive and out run the Walkers just like the humans since these undead seem to be willing to eat anything that moves. :)

Though it will be addressed--at some point.

Not a fan of Xovers, especially when I don't know the other fandom (is it ok to admit that in public? that I've never seen TWD?)
but I clicked on this an was pleasantly surprised to find I could enjoy the brief scene and look at Buffy from another pov. Got to admit, I was assuming the older man was Giles, but I gather this is part of a world you've created and that Hank is in it. Anyway, well done. :)

Alas most of what I write, and read, is crossovers and since opinions and preferences vary from person to person you're more than allowed to admit that you've not seen The Walking Dead.

This series branches off from the summer between season 1 and 2 when Buffy was staying with Hank.

I've been enjoying your stories in this universe. I usually read offline so I haven't had the chance to stop by and say so! You've got the dialogue down for Buffy and I'm really liking seeing Hank's point of view. Looking forward to the next instalment. :)

Thank you and I'm glad you're enjoying it! I always have fun writing Buffy's dialogue so I'm happy you liked it and Hank is definitely getting his shot at redemption in this series. Hopefully he sticks around--though you never know with the Walking Dead'verse. ;)

Thank you for reading!

Poor Rebecca, I can only imagine the horror of dealing with a fear of the dark with the walkers out and about. *shudders*

Loving Grayson and his outside perspective of Buffy and Hank. I like him noticing the little details, like Buffy's hand being more calloused than her fathers. And I love that while he finds it odd that a teenager was watching the adults' backs, that he calmly accepts it because of what he's seen her do.

And sadly, I have to say I'm with Sarah doubting them making it to California on their own. I like her realistic view on things even if she is lacking in the tact department.

I wanted Rebecca more sympathetic and I needed a valid reason for the fire getting out of hand like it did. I have a coworker that is deathly afraid of the dark and she'll call a friend if she's walking from her house if it's night and her husband isn't home which inspired Rebecca's fear.

I have this feeling Grayson shall be sticking around so I wanted to get his bearings and start to figure out his place in the group outside medic. He's still seeing Buffy through his old world views. He's still thinking of her as a kid and I kind of want to explore how those views evolve over time.

I think with with the right connections they could make it, but it's currently just them and neither of them know how to fly a plane... ;)
