My latest attempt at
sg1_five_things turned into five very distinct ficlets, so they get titles and everything. Most are classic team, but a Season 10 era snuck in there as well. :-)
If you want to read all the entries, you can find them
here, but since I was my usual wordy self, they didn't all fit in a comment, and I figured I'd just post them in toto here as

I like the fourth one the best. A significant victory for Sha're, even if no one else will ever know it!

The first was cute and the second nicely ironic. LOVED Sha're and her silent victory and being saved from Felger ::sporfles:: but your #3 is SHEER GLEE. Hammond and the courage of impossible choices! Siler and his wrench saves the day! :D

Number 1 is so very probable. Sam is brilliant, but what are the chances of getting all the alien tech right from the get go with very little chance to experiment?
Number 2 is thinky and spooky, and delightful simply because this is one I would never have come up with myself, but now that you have, it seems so... necessary.
Number 3 is just classic SG-1, with the reaction and interaction of Jack and Hammond being pitch perfect. I must admit, given that it was Siler when the gate made a "wrenching" noise I appreciated simultaneously that this was the right word to evoke the sound and a delightfully appropriate unintentional pun.
Number 4 is great because of the way that Shau're's victory sneaks in under our own radar as well as Amaunet's.
And finally, the placement of Number 5, coming as it does following four scenarios of genuine mortal peril is a bit of genius, because it heightens the comic punch of the piece, as we are looking for the threat of death, and finally realize that it is [*gasp!*] the threat ( ... )

1. Yeah, I figured on the fly experimenting would cause a bit of miscalculation (Sam is awesome, but not perfect).
2. It was kind of a play on the Road Not Taken scenario, but...yeah.
3. Who said it was unintentional? ;-)
4. Yep, Sha're saved Daniel and he didn't even know it.
5. Oooh, glad to know the placement worked. Dun dun dun!
I loved all the prompts this time and would've done more of them, but spent so much time working on this one...hee!
