Coyote Sands [first memories of @TheConstantWind]

'Linda this way!' I spun around looking at the girl who was around my age. She'd told me her name was Alice Shaw, but aside from that I only knew she was here with her older sister Angela. I hadn't met her, but I'd seen her. She looked nice enough. I started running after Alice as she took off, it felt good to run, hated being cooped up in that building with a bunch of kids I didn't know. I was only ten, I wanted to be in the same building as my parents but somehow it wasn't possible. At least that's what Charles and Daniel had told me.

"Alice slow down!" I called, tripping in the sand before we reached the building she was staying in. Following her inside I saw her sister sitting on the bed. I stopped, sliding on the floor a little as Angela looked at her sister and began to scold her for running off. "It was my fault." I looked at the ground nervously. "I wanted to play and we lost track of time." I felt bad for getting Alice into trouble.

'It's okay I already know.' Angela smiled as she came over to me, resting a hand on my shoulder. 'I knew you would be okay but you have to be careful around here. We don't trust the people who work here.' I looked up at her confused. They all seemed nice enough, especially Dr. Suresh. Well he was nice when he wasn't coming at me with needles. 'Just trust me on this okay, they are up to something and I don't really like it.'

Knowing Angela always seemed to be right about things I nod and smile. Hearing footsteps behind me I turned before looking up at the man standing there. 'You're out of your room again Miss Tavara?' I took a step back from him. I didn't want to get taken back to my room I liked being around Angela and Alice too much.

"I was just having fun." I sigh, shoulders slumping. The orderly's face was hidden by shadows that filled most of the room. "Hate being stuck in my room all day." I knew I was pouting, it had worked on him the last time.

Kneeling down the man looked me in the face, his blue eyes searching mine as he smiled. 'Don't worry, I won't tell anyone but we best get you back before they find out you're missing again. I can only cover for you so many times.' I searched his face before nodding..

Gasping I sat upright in bed, hair plastered to my face with the sweat that had beaded up on my skin. Staring into the darkness I tried to sort this all out. Why had I dreamed about a place called Coyote Sands, why had there been people there I'd never met before but who seemed so familiar. Why had Daniel Linderman been there? And the one question that kept coming back to me... Why had Adam been there? It wasn't unusual for me to dream of him, but this was far too real. It was like I'd been there. Like I'd lived through all of that many years ago. And if it was real it wasn't far fetched that he could have worked there given his ability.

Running my fingers through my hair I glance around before slipping from bed and heading out into the kitchen. I needed space, I needed to sort this out. Having him laying that close to me after that dream was making me anxious for some reason. Grabbing a glass I fill it with water and stood there staring out the window over the sink. It was still dark out and I hadn't bothered turning the light on in the kitchen. Sighing I continued to stand there trying to sort out everything.

"Coyote Sands..." the place sounded familiar. But I couldn't understand why. If I had been there before... Why would I suddenly remember it now? "Angela Shaw.." I whisper the name trying to remember why it seemed familiar. The only Angela I'd ever known was "Petrelli..." I whisper the glass slipping from my fingers to shatter on the floor at my feet.
