you're not alone, I refuse to shop there too, and I know a lot of people who won't go there. Unfortunately they still have a large enough customer base and operate in a lot of places where people have few other options (like the small town in WI where I used to live, where there was literally nowhere else to buy basic necessities), but maybe if enough people boycott them, they will eventually change their practices at least a little bit. Probably not, but at least we're not fueling the flames, right?
I'm glad I'm not crazy for boycotting Wal-mart. It's true about them operating in places where people have few other options. That's part of the reason I don't like them. They move into small towns where people are glad to have them because it creates jobs and then Wal-mart proceeds to run every single other business out.
The town I grew up in literally has no other stores since Wal-mart came. Literally no other stores. My parents refuse to shop there and will drive an hour to an hour and a half to shop somewhere else.
