SGA and SG1 Pairing Poll

Feb 28, 2009 19:13

I have put together a poll on my Insanejournal listing just about every possible hook up in my space pirate AU. If you would take it, I might avoid writing something you loathe.  Probably not though, because no doubt I'll just write what I want anyway. But! You will have amused me and that's what it's really all about.

I almost started giggling the satisfied giggle of a well-fed slasher when he said that. Because, hello? He starts the movie talking about how they've been together for years, and he doesn't see that ending in the foreseeable future...

My brain. It cannot resist the cowboy slash.

I put it on the queue to have something Mom would watch and had to bite my tongue to keep from exclaiming 'they are so doing it!'

Mom has het goggles.

It kind of made the movie for me. Then again, I think Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is incredibly slashy too.

Any movie or show where two men are partners, would die for each other, would kill for each other... the slash. It is not subtle.

It just gets better in the second book of the trilogy.

It what? I know it was based on a Robert B. Parker book, but there's more?

I might actually have to read the book now. I've read a lot of Parker's Spenser series and some of his Sunny Randall and Jesse Stone, but not much of his nonseries stuff.

It's a western.

I read one other western by him, thinking that I loved his Spenser books and love a good western, so two great tastes should taste great together, but for me, his style didn't work with the western. I might try another one just on the chance I was reading on a bad day or maybe he found a better balance in his other westerns.

I do recommend the film if you like westerns - There's one big time jump in it that's annoying, but I enjoyed the story and acting and the cinematography is masterful.

You should be able to do it with open ID. It gave someone else a problem, but she didn't say how she got it to work.

Smooches!

Re: Appaloosa - I totally agree. When N and I saw it in the theaters I had to wonder if I was imagining things, or was just so used to seeing things threw slashy goggles. N disabused me of that notion. I liked it, though could have done without the Ally character. Still, it was a nice western.
