THIS IS A BLAINE ANDERSON POST: NEVER BEEN KISSED VERSION

I agree. Blaine had good intentions and as you pointed out at the start is basically a decent, polite guy. He worked with what info he had and what advice he probably would have wanted to hear but did not get.

Yes, oh, yes. I think Blaine was thinking "I wish someone had told me these things"; that with the regrets and his empathy lead to the advice, for sure.

This. I mean I figured that there was a whole lot of projection going on but underneath that Blaine really was trying to help Kurt. He just did not have all the facts and he is a 16 yr old boy despite his confident persona.

I love this. And I agree with almost all of it.

Kurt doesn’t give Blaine a chance to push back, anyway - he doesn’t give David a chance to back of either. He has courage, and he steps in. Don’t hate on Blaine for Kurt’s choices, that’s all I want to say.
I think this has been said elsewhere in the comments, but I don't think Blaine would have ever physically pushed back (unless he absolutely needed to). He's definitely more of a pacifist. I don't think that's a bad thing though.
I find it interesting that Kurt can be very in-your-face about things at times. He can be loud and he has claws. If you don't like him well FU, THIS IS WHO HE IS.
And Blaine is never going to hide who he is or ever pretend to be anything he's not either, but I think he somehow wants to do it in this ~nice way~ and he hopes that everyone will still like him. It's idealistic of him to think that that's always going to be possible...but he's a very idealistic person.
