I never realized that I looked forward to going home so I could see Dude. I know that I have other kitties, but man he lit up my life. I want to ball up and sleep the pain away. If only I could sleep.

My son Dude died on Saturday. It happened the worst possible way. We were in Jamaica living it up and he was with a sitter. He was sick, but the sitter said he was getting better so we didn't have the sitter take him to the vet. Then he died. I can't shake the feeling that he died thinking we'd abandoned him. This Swine Flu stuff is ridiculous! Do people not realize that the boring average flu kills 30,000 people a year? I have a friend that's convinced she's not going to be able to go on vacation because of it. In my conspiracy theroist mind, I'm fairly certain that Tamaflu has trumped all of this up just to increase their sales.
