A terribly amused Ianto had been peeking at the father and son just coming through the door. They were, frankly, adorable, even if the father was clearly having his patience tried. Hiding his grin, Ianto bent his head a little, pretending to thumb through several books while he really watched the little boy try really really hard not to go running.

Severus couldn't help but notice the man surreptitiously watching Teddy. It was his job as a guardian to notice these things. He hardly looked like some sort of predator, but one could never be too careful.

Paranoia was a well cultured emotion.

It took him a few moments to place where he had seen him before.

"You used to work at the tea shop, did you not?" he asked, looking curiously at Ianto.

Sheepishly, Ianto looked up when caught and offered the man a bit of a smile. Well. He was staring at his kid, after all. But when he was recognized, his smile grew a touch wider.

"Yes, I did. I'm purchasing it now, actually. Um. I don't recall ever meeting you there, however." Yet another Brit, Ianto was delighted to note.

"I don't think we've actually met. Severus Snape," he said, inclining his in the other man's direction. "Usually, if I'm getting tea, I keep to myself. It's one of the few moments of quiet that I get these days. As long as the boy is awake, peace is hard to come by."

Severus knew he should be more irritated by that fact than he was, but he couldn't imagine going back to his solitude again, no matter how much he might grouse.
