Lulu was pretty much accustomed to the weird things that happened in Aternaville at this point. Earthquakes, the cat mafia, singing, turning into children. None of it phased her anymore. It was exciting more than anything else, and she vastly enjoyed these breaks from the norm.

But when she woke up this morning, she was confronted with something quite different. She'd gotten out of bed and gone to the bathroom, normal as anything, when she'd noticed that her hair was not exactly...there. "What?" she exclaimed...except...her voice was not exactly hers, now was it? Rushing to the bathroom, she looked in the mirror only to see someone who was decidedly not female. "Crap. Crap crap crap," she replied, brushing her teeth and doing all of her normal morning routine things. Thanking whatever powers that be that she'd showered last night before going to sleep.

Dressing, however, was a bigger problem. To say Lulu was girly was a vast understatement. She was unsure as to why exactly she had no clothes that could be seen as even ( ... )

Richie was, on the whole, a straight-arrow Boy Scout. He believed in traditional values like loyalty, friendship, and honor. He brushed his teeth twice a day and helped old ladies cross the street.

However, if Richie told the truth about being gender-swapped, he was sure he would never hear the end of it. And something that had turned out to be pretty nice so far (well, it was) might turn into something awkward and awful. Richie didn't want that to happen, and as he was thinking quickly, he decided he would pretend to be a new arrival until he felt comfortable declaring his identity. Which might be never.

Richie smiled at the unfamiliar blonde boy, some corner of him noting that this boy was cute. "Hi! I'm Rachel." The female name seemed to come naturally. "Um, what is this place? I think I'm lost."

Lulu smiled. "Hi Rachel! Are you new? You must be, as I am pretty certain that I haven't met a Rachel." She didn't introduce herself. After all, she didn't exactly want to scare the girl. Lulu was definitely a girl's name. What name would she go by were she a boy? Well...there was Lucky. Perhaps...Luke was her dad and Lucas Lorenzo was just...Lucky. That's what she'd introduce herself as if she had to.

She did intend on getting to Neil firstly, to tell him. Though, he would undoubtedly believe her. After all, he'd been in this town long enough.

"But this place is Aternaville."

"Hi," Richie said. "Yeah, I...I think so. Do you live here too?" The conversation was easier since Richie didn't recognize the boy. Although that didn't mean anything, if what had happened to him was more widespread. The lack of a name seemed like it pointed to that conclusion, as did the boy's knowledge of the town's name.

"Aternaville," Richie repeated. "I'm sorry...I've never heard of it." He looked around. "Is Warren here? He's my best friend."

Well, Richie was a writer, so he had to invent Rachel's backstory. Besides, Warren was Potsie's real name, and...oh, Richie was going to be in so much trouble if...or when...his lie fell through.

She'd woken up like this.

Someone had to die. Or something, she liked her boobs thank you very much.

Or was it his boobs? Gods Damn it.

So, she started down town. Finally she was angry enough that she found herself yelling in her new, far deeper voice,

"I want my frakking boobs back."

Richie blinked. Had someone just yelled "I want my frakking boobs back"? His male and female selves were both faintly scandalized.

Wait. Frakking? He knew that word. How did he know that word? Kara had used it when he'd met her. Which meant that this guy (this dreamy guy, some part of Richie suggested) was...

"Kara?" Richie asked, eyes wide with surprise.

Lulu put her hands on her now rather male hips. Kara. She'd met Kara at the St. Patrick's Day thing. The only other person around that she'd heard saying frak was Zak. As he wouldn't quite turn into a different male, she looked at the guy. For that matter, how amusing would it be if Zak were a girl and Moira were a boy?? She made a mental note to call her friend to find out.

"You too?" she addressed Kara.

"Yeah, who the frak are you?" Kara raised an eyebrow.
