024. In Memoriam: My Poems ...

I discovered a folder where I stored my poems, written in 2003 - 2005. I was a bit surprised to see the "dark" tone of the poems. Many dealing with losing my soul or being lonely. I knew that those years had not been good ones. I was discontent with my job (I love the colleagues but I felt like I wasn't moving forward). I was feeling uncomfortable

I haven't seen any of these movies LOL....but it's so cool that Christoph Waltz is nominated! He's a real good German actor...he's often playing the bad guy and does a great job and I heard he was really good in "Inglorious Bastards" :)
But I never watch the Award shows because I don't know the movies most of the time and then it isn't so interesting for me ;)

I have always been excited during award season because so many good movies are on. ALWAYS. I think I have followed Oscar ceremony for more than 15 years now :). I always love movies.

Now I can say that I watched at least 4 of the nominated movies (Up in the air,500Days of Summer,The Hangover and Up) *lol*

Well, good for you :). I don't plan to watch The Hangover. Never been good with crude American jokes movie

I know what you mean, to be honest. I used to write a lot of poems during my depression (and before and after when I just didn't feel good and had my "dark" period), but now I just don't anymore. I can if I sit down for it, but back then it would just come so easily to me. I think it makes sense though that sometimes those kind of things just come easier when you're blue or down, I know that sometimes people like musicians or even authors say that themselves as well.

Either way it's good to read that you'd rather be where you are now and that you realize that you're doing so much better than you used to, that you're just doing fine. That actually makes me happy to read :D

I do love award season, but I never really watched any or many of the movies that get nominated. I wish I could watch the actual show though!

I know, right? Like all those bad emotion actually triggers good creativity. But I choose happiness of course. And I can be creative in different way :)
