Assassianos and clothes that eat the character

Assassin's Creed 2... I enjoyed it more than 1, but I don't know. Maybe this series isn't for me, about 15 or so hours in it felt like I was playing the first game again, just in a better setting. I think the game would have been a lot better if the AI was tightened up, and the combat's still a bit messy. I don't know, maybe it's all improved in ( Read more... )

assassin's creed, ffxiii-2, question, i care too much about video game fashion

The combat in Brotherhood is much improved, almost to the point of being too easy. All you have to do is counter the first guy who attacks you, then you can chain together insta-kill attacks on all of the enemies who have the misfortune to be standing near you. The AI's a bit tighter too, they'll actively search for you in hiding places and follow you more efficiently. So yes, if those are your two grievances with AC2 then you should try AC:B XD Plus the multiplayer is pretty boss.

God, her outfit. Just.. what.

Sounds good to me, and the multiplayer tempts me too.

I don't mind silly outfits, but this one just rubs me the wrong way.

Eww! I do not like Serah's look. I will be picking it up though, as I loved FF13 =)

haha, maybe that's how teenagers dress on Cocoon and she's actually a big trendsetter. Either way it's still terrible.

Yeah, the stealth mechanics still feel a little sloppy.

While I still haven't completely given up on Tetsuya Nomura's designs, it's getting tougher to defend him now, especially if he's actually responsible for Serah's new design. It looks like he might be going for the simpler aesthetic for the other FFXIII game 'Versus' which I vastly prefer over his new designs. Shalua is possibly the absolute worst character he's ever designed, pfft she's a scientist she doesn't need clothes

I find the vast majority of JRPG characters to have really poor designs. I think some of the more fantasy oriented (NOT Final Fantasy... which hasn't dealt with fantasy in ages) are generally more tasteful, but then sometimes you get a lot of WTF there too.

And holy crap, I wish I'd never seen that design. ;C that's just awful.

I think it varies with video game designs in general with eastern and western developers. The majority of character designs aren't great, but over the last few years I think it's even worse. Just because graphics have improved doesn't mean designers need to pile useless shit on their characters. TONE IT DOWN GUYS GEEZ

Inorite. I want to see characters in functional clothes that may or may not look kinda stylish (can we just have a game of men in well tailored suits? thx, the management.) instead of... well, whatever the fuck Serah is wearing up there.

It's probably just not for you i fyou aren't enjoying AC2.

Serah's design is as hideous as you say. Hair included.

There's plenty of designs I hate, but I can't think of any off the top of my head...

Yeah, I finished it and I don't think its really my type of platformer. I wish I could have enjoyed it more because I like Tomb Raider styled platform games, which this tries to mimic. Ah well.

That hair will forever annoy me.

Which FF character do you think has the worst design?
