http://www.wrightstuff.biz/adplplguandb.html might have something like what you're talking about. This site is all adaptive equipment for adults with disabilities.

Unfortunately, I think most of the time divided plates like that are for small children (assuming they aren't disposable) so you would find them with things like Bob the Builder and Dora the Explorer on them, in the section of the store where they sell stuff for babies and toddlers.

Tupperware probably makes something that's more adult-oriented, though, so that's worth a look. I think you'd end up with four, but Tupperware is very durable so it may be worth it.

I found a couple for my son (and myself) without any cartoon characters at Dollar General and Family Dollar.

I also did get a deep-dished Tupperware one at my local large supermarket, in the kitchen goods aisle.

Some of the paper ones have three spots.

You may try Good-will, Savers, Salvation-army or other 2nd hand stores, you can find a lot of one or two pieces that normaly you have two buy big family sets to have.

Maybe something that's really intended for serving dips rather than eating from?

That isn't ideal (no dishwashers, aluminium), but you get the idea.
