An Intolerant Hypocrite

Dec 03, 2010 04:17

The funniest part of it all is that the person who was most offended and hostility-instigating by my asking if there was anyone else on this community who had acquired asperger's-like qualities only *suspects* she's an aspie and could very well be the intolerant NT she hates. I love irony & find irritating hypocrites amusing. Thanks again moderator ( Read more... )

Is this really necessary? It looks like you're the hypocrite here, criticizing someone for "stirring the pot" in a post you've made for no reason other than to create drama where there isn't any. I doubt anyone cares about her diagnoses or lack there of. Many people here are self-diagnosed and it's not considered to be an invalid assessment.

Yes, it was. She shouldn't jump all over anyone's shit in this community for having documented evidence of their brain being different than an NT's when she has none.

Not to mention, it was instigative of hostility not just towards me, but also at least one other member on this community who is simply looking for mutual support, just like anyone else on this community.

People have a right to know when they've been lied to or deceived.

If someone had a problem with her, they can talk to the mods about it. And from what I've seen, not many people would consider a self-diagnosis to be a lie or deception. But she's already been banned anyway, so what's the point?

And now you're banned from the community as well.

Thank you. This place was becoming the trustpects show :P Which on its own, I guess I could handle, but this last post was really just too much. What was the point of it, "haha, I win!"? It's like this poster decided that, because they have deigned to associate their issues with ours, that we automatically are going to be on their side, and revel with them at the antagonism toward one of our own.

Augh I feel like I'm not at all expressing what I mean here. Basically, I just mean to say that the content of this post was disturbing to me, and it was very comforting to see in the comments that something had been done about it. And thanks, for helping keep our community a safe space.

If it means anything, I get what you're saying and totally agree.

This is so, so well said. I'd have been spared a lot of awful, shameful experiences if anyone in my life was educated enough about females and autism.

This is one of the best comments I have ever seen in this community, and I've been here since 2007 (although I was gone for a year or so.)

You were in the right, people were behind you... there was no need for this. I get that you are feeling rejected from a place where you were seeking community, because a few people couldn't get past what made you different, and I see the irony in that, but this is petty.

WTF? Seriously? Wasn't flouncing enough? You felt the need to publicly shame someone? Disgusting!
