Upgrading

I'm thinking about upgrading to a paid account. Mainly so i can change my journal header and use alot more userpics. LOL.

But first i wanted to get some opinions from those of you who do have a paid account.

- Is it worth the money? LOL :P
Oh, and if you do get an account, and pay for say 6 months, after those 6 months does your account revert back to ( Read more... )

Unless lj changes the rules, a free account can have a custom layout(with header)

I snagged the layout I use from amavel_bel

From her memories here:
http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=amavel_bel&keyword=LJ%20Layouts&filter=all

She doesn't mind if you change the header, colors or whatever just as long as you credit her on your userinfo page or resource page.(which is what I did)

There are other comms with free layouts if you don't see anything you like on hers.

As for userpics.. as far as I know once you let your account revert back to free status you lose all the perks including userpics. But you can keep your layout as I said above you don't need a bought lj to get a custom layout.

I didn't know you could change it. Thanks :) I'm looking into that now and see if it works. :D

I think it's worth it. I don't know what I'd do without all my userpics. Plus, you can make communities and such.

I've had a paid account for years, and I think it's worth the money, but I use Livejournal a lot.

If memory serves, once your paid account runs out, any changes you've made to your journal -- like layout, mood theme, what have you -- will stay in place, but you'll be bumped down to six icons. And you don't get to choose which six you keep; LJ will just delete all but the first six you uploaded.
