Further observations on 7.11

I'm back! Back home that is. And it's rather nice I have to say. :)

I said I had some more to say on this ep so here it is.

That's a cool catch on reinforcing the "don't hunt without back-up" message. Also, the black and white caps of Dean came out good. It makes it easier to see what's going on with his expression, especially his eyes.

They mentioned the vetalas being clever by working in pairs - it felt like it might have been a comment on the boys working best when they work together. The MotW often reflect something about the boys.

With the dark screening his eyes and the flashes of light washing over his face I think it made it hard to see Dean's thought process. Going over it a few times now I can see that he was really working at it.

Okay so I may have yelled at the screen a few times in this episode. What? I needed to defend my Bobby position! Which is pretty damn precarious if not downright toppled entirely by now *sigh* But seriously....where was his funeral pyre? Why didn't we see them burning his bones? I did like how Dean used the phrase "Someone I care about just got shot in the head." See that phrase is open ended. LOL! I didn't care for Sam's "He's.... he's passed away." phrase AT ALL.

I LIKE your Sam in pain caps. I knew you'd notice how beautifully sprawled he was when he collapsed in the car park. ;-) Mmmm. Hips. Where was I?

Could the car Dean's driving looking any more like the Impala wannabe it's trying to be? For a second there I thought they might be trying to convince us this one is just as good...hmph!

At least it's a dry heat. :) NSW was so humid and sticky.

Oh man... I did think of you at the beginning of this. I'm not sure about the pyre either. I wonder if they buried him thinking that maybe they could get him back one day? Though, we didn't see that so....?? I think it's a real mystery. Deliberately there to make us wonder.

OMG! Sprawled Sam is a thing of GLORY! The attack took me by surprise also. I seriously wasn't expecting it.

I wish they were in the Impala. I am missing her the most. It was easy to forget they weren't in her in that last scene. It felt like such an impala shot.

Hey hun!

On my first viewing I didn't pick up exactly what he was doing. At first I was thinking Jensen wasn't sure exactly what emotion he was supposed to be portraying. Then I think I might have read somewhere he was practicing his smiling and it all fell into place. I really love that ending now. :)

Yeah... without saying too much it seems there might be other things going on now with the beer...;) I am (trying) to remain unspoiled but I've "heard" of a few things now.. /o\

It's funny... With the empty bottle scene I totally missed that it might be ghost!Bobby nipping away with it (I had the bf fill me in on that idea after he watched it), as my first thought was that it was a sign of Dean's alcoholism that the show has been taking pains to detail and that he'd reached the stage where he didn't notice what he'd drank... but I much prefer the ghost!Bobby version. I miss the old git. :(

Yeah... it was a strange moment indeed. They obviously have something up their sleeve in regards to this. I'm hoping it's not to do with him actually drinking without knowing it..:/

It would be kinda cool to have Bobby around as a ghost. I still don't feel like he's gone forever.
