If you'd like to apply for a character in Asgard Eventide, this is the place to do it! Using the forms at the bottom of this page, please fill out the application to the best of your ability and email it to asgard.applications@gmail.com. Applications will always be open for a week each month beginning on the first Sunday of the month. Exact dates are listed above. Please don't post any apps until the mods have opened them with an edit to this entry. When you apply, be sure to include "Character Name | Canon | Reserved/Not Reserved" in the subject line.
App rules are as follows;
• You may app up to two characters per round, and five overall per player. You can have two characters from the same canon, but only if they have little to no reason to interact. This is a case-by-case rule, and it's up to the discretion of the mods.
•Reserves are not required. See the
reserves page for info on reserves and challenges.
• Edit 12/01/2011: Applications will be submitted by email to asgard.applications@gmail.com. Please include the entire application in the body of the email. You're welcome to add minimal formatting (bold, italics, etc), but please avoid too much fancy html, just in case it doesn't come across well. Emailing apps will enables us to organize a large volume of apps and to protect them from plagiarism. If there are any questions about another player's app, please contact that player.
• If your application is rejected or asked for revisions, the mods will try to be a clear as possible with the reasons why that decision was made. If further clarification is needed, we can always be
contacted.
• Unfortunately, the app for Original Characters is harder than the app for Canon Characters. The reason for this is that as mods we need as much detail as possible to hold your playing up against, so that inconsistent characterization can be noted fairly. We also have nothing but the rest of your app to judge against, so the more detail you give the more sure we can be of who your character is.
• Questions about the app or app process can be submitted via any form of contact on the
contact page.
• Currently recieved apps can be viewed
here, if you're looking for the status of your app or waiting on challengers.

Samples;
Network Sample; (A first-person sample in the form of a video, audio, or text post to the network. We're looking for your character's unique speaking voice here, so while [bracket action] is welcome, try to focus on dialogue in this sample. You may link a previous game/musebox/meme thread here.)
Log Sample; (A third-person sample in the form of a post or tag in log format. You can use straight prose or [Actionspam brackets], but it must be well-written and focusing on your character's thoughts and actions. You may link a previous log thread, but only if you did not link your network sample. You may reuse a sample from an old app. Players with characters currently in the game are not required to submit a third person sample.
