80s new wave dance party!? If you have pictures, you must post them!

I haven't read any of those books, although you've been recommending The Jungle to me since jr. high, and 1984 & Brave New World are both on my reading list (which has grown very long, mind you), and I know you've wanted me to read them for quite some time.

So does that mean you've read Metamorphosis? Or still in the process? I will never forget what the bookseller (a little old lady) told me before I bought/read it, about when she was in college and read Kafka for the first time... Eh, I won't post it here; too long of a comment anyway. ;)

Yay for the miracle!

I never heard of this must-read, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter... what is it about? Of course my to read pile of books is already too big, but I do have a giftcard to spend...

You should read... One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, if you haven't. It's about an insane asylum man. It's sort of crazy like, but also surprisingly fun.

its by carson mcullers and if you dont read it then you are truly missing out on some AMAZING literature-seriously. there are about five main characters and each chapter is about one of them, but they all sort of revolve around one character who is a deaf mute. i cant explain it, but its so good. read it!

and i read one flew over the cuckoo's nest last summer, and saw the movie in psych last year. both were indeed very good.

agreed completely. you should read "ariel" its a collection of her poetry in the months before she died, sad, but very very inspiring (to write, of course, not to kill yourself!)
