I have been on a sci-fi/fantasy binge recently. So, I now know:- I like the Third Doctor and Liz Shaw. (I haven't decided if I like the Fourth Doctor, Sarah Jane, or the Brigadier yet or not.)

How has no-one done a multifandom science fiction and fantasy vid to Dolly Parton's "9 to 5"? I mean, every other science fiction show out there has a vid to it, so clearly there is recognition that this song is the perfect counterpoint for clips of people whose regular day job involves aliens, ancient artifacts, and more degrees than an entire ( Read more... ) -

Star Trek and miniskirts
I haven't seen the new Star Trek movie yet, but I am an avid review reader, so I am aware of some details. Specifically, about the costumes and the main relationship. I've heard a few reviewers complain about this, but my feelings are mixed.

Good News Day
I have health care again!
Sadly, it does not cover me as completely as my previous health care did, but for right now, I don't have to deal with the local Department of Human Services. Who are incompetent and rude to a degree that astonishes me - the state department seems excellent, and I've never had any trouble dealing with the federal government ( Read more... ) -
