*sigh* Do you know how much I would kill to see this on the show? I do hope you're planning on showing us the rest of Christmas, because I got really excited with the return of Derek's family (especially Stewart).

I thought it was a nice touch that Mark was back for Christmas, but I am glad that you didn't make it too awkward by bringing Addison back too. Not that I have anything against Addison, but you know, for the sake of the story.

Ok, so no song yet, but I keep going "Oh, I'm glad they didn't pick that one." Even though I do love that Chantal whatever-her-name-is song, lol.

Also, "This is my first Christmas. No, I mean this is my first Christmas ever," was so incredibly poignant. I love that you gave her a family through Derek.

Well done! As usual, completely worth the wait!

I have a feeling you would kill to see this on the show just as much as I would, in which case, we're looking at some serious mass atrocities here in the name of MerDer ;p Care for a machete?

Mark was sort of peripheral in this, but I did want to show that he and Derek are slowly mending thing still. The awkwardness of the hello and the fact that, while it's awkward, Derek isn't really showing a huge amount of upset over the fact that Addison and Mark are an item, were meant to show this slow mending. I'm glad it came across well :)

...absolutely nothing. I am freaking speechless here. That was beyond fabulous, just beyond. I don't know where to start with what I loved. There is too much, just too much.

Fighting for the keys, trying to pick a song, snowball fights in the snow. All wonderful and brings a smile to my face.

Thank you :) The snowball fight was a flash of inspiration, but I think overall it was my favorite part.

Wow! So much to say:

The details are so beautiful! I can't wait to see more of the actual Christmas. I was excited when Stewart appeared, too, and glad to see that Mark is there finally.

I can't wait to see what it's in the envelope, and what Derek got Mer for Christmas.

I loved the little detail about Chantal "I can't pronounce her last name", because I always think that too about her. I loved that Mer had the same thought process I have had several times.

I have to say, that little flashback from Europe freaked me out a little, but in a good way. The details didn't paint a pretty picture, but what I love about your writing is that we see and feel everything the characters are feeling.

Another amazing chapter, hopefully the next one will come soon, since you're already working on it? Looking forward to it!

Thank you so much :) What can I say about Stewart? I had to include him :) The Europe flashback was meant to freak you out. It was a little bit of seriousness dropped into an otherwise very fluffy chapter meant to show that A) Derek is really okay, and B) MerDer are really okay. I'm glad you enjoyed this part!
