I had heard of Jessica Mitford and Nancy Mitford, and it just never occurred to me that they were related, let alone that there was such a big family of eccentrics (with way too much fascism in the mix)!

I read The American Way of Death and another one of her books when I was a teenager. They were pretty fascinating. I remember when I found out that the whole family was a bit strange (to say the least). It feels like one of those things that you can't make up and the truth is much stranger than fiction.
