I read that piece a few days ago.

I really liked Enterprise when it started, but I quit for reasons that I can no longer remember. My husband kept watching, so I knew when the final episode would be, and I watched it with him. I remembering being disappointed overall, but especially about Trip's death, which seemed so pointless! But apparently the actor thought it was a good ending to his arc. I was sorry to hear that Scott Bakula felt cheated by the episode.

I've always had the impression that Bakula is a hard working, not much complaining type of actor. For him to say anything, even years after the experience, shows how upset he was to me.

I've recently rewatched episodes of both Voyager and Enterprise, and without the spotlight of fandom picking on every little thing, they both seem to be better than what I remember, and I liked both at the time they aired. I'm the weird one who quit DS9 but stuck with all the others until the bitter end. Enterprise was really bitter, especially since they'd finally found a storyline written by actual Trek fans that was working, but it was too late to save the show.
