Giles was still out of it, somewhat, but being treated in the infirmary. Has to look a bit better at this point. Probably going to need a few days to recuperate. Likely to at least be conscious again soon for visitors.

Buffy steps in quietly, scanning the room.

"Giles? Giles!"

She tries to rush and tiptoe to his side at the same time; her failure is spectacular. "Someone said you were -- what happened?"

Buffy tries to smile.

"I-I hope it tastes okay? I didn't put any sugar, 'cause I figured, green tea. But there's cookies."

It was slightly bitter, but weak. Could have steeped a little longer, but he wasn't going to say.

"It's perfect, thank you."

Buffy's voice is wobblier than she'd like again.

"You're gonna be okay, right?"

[watcher_g_man]

"Yes," Slightly stronger voice, and a small smile in return.

"Good."

She takes a deep breath.

"'Cause if you die on me now, I'll kill you myself."

[watcher_g_man]

"Glad to know you care," he dryly replied, but appreciating her concern. "It's just hunger and dehydration. It's more embarassing really."

"What do you mean, glad to know I care? I haven't punched you out for your own good enough yet?"

She tilts the cup, carefully.

"Note to self."

"Not recently no, and please don't. Killing with kindness is not necessary now."

Giles nibbled on the edge of a biscuit, and then wound up eating that one, and several more besides. He was famished, but didn't want to overdo it too quickly. So more tea to wash it down.

After swallowing he added, "How are you? Any problems here since I've been away?"

"Well," she begins.

"Do you want another cup of tea?"

"Yes, that would be nice...Oh dear, what now?"

"W-what do you mean? Here, tea."

Buffy is a terrible liar.

[watcher_g_man]

He sighed, "Buffy... we're in close quarters here. I'm sure I'll find out eventually. Whatever it is."

She looks down. "I know. I just . . . you're hurt. News can wait."

But she tilts the cup back, and says, "Angel's here. He showed up while I was patrolling, kind of a while ago."

Giles was quiet at that. He wondered what time Angel had arrived. Before he had allied with Wolfram and Hart?

Or after?

"I see. He's been allowed to stay here then?"

"Uh huh. Whole big vote thing."

She's watching him carefully.
