At the wall...

"..I'm breathing dead magog," Zuko said, as he was helped into the courtyard, among the dust and the debris. They were-- alright. They were okay.

They had all lived. Injuries were minimal. It was good. Did they really think that only ten magog--even vampire magog-- could have rattled them? It seemed so--paltry, so small ( Read more... )

Wash emerged from the wreckage of the airship, slightly ruffled, but otherwise all right.

"Hi."

"..hi!"

Don't mind Zuko, or Miho pushing him along. "Di-- is-- well-- DID IT WORK!?"

Uh he's a little incoherent. THEY BROUGHT THE SHIP BACK. THIS IS A GOOD SIGN.

A part of the ship shifts, and drops.

Shifts again. Drops.

Then is lited out more firmly, and reveals a soot-blackened inanely cheerful grin.

"Hey, Cap'n," says a tired Kaylee. "Quite the homecoming, huh?"

THere is much rolling. And hands extended to Kaylee, not caring that she's sooty. She was who they brought out the first time, and she went back in, and ...came back.

Did they... all... really come back?

"You smell like shit," he laughs, voice a little-- off. But he's just-- uh. Happy. Very happy. "We-- have a lot of suvivors? Rescuees? Shit, someone passed out already! Get him inside--"

Yeah, he's already welcoming with orders.

"Sokka? Katara?"

Are they there?!

The doctor hobbled out, tied and covered and blood and -- looking like he'd just been through two or three wars, rather then one. He -- made it about as far as the wall before he dropped.

...he needed a nap. He hurt. THere were not enough drugs.

Laying here in the dear grass breathing in dead magog while he passed out sounded GREAT.

Limping only slightly with a twisted ankle from the wreck, sweaty, dirty, covered in soot but also smiling in an exhausted, accomplished way, the mechanic drops an arm and tries to pull him to his feet.

"Hey there," says Kaylee. "You wanna see if you can make it a few more steps inside?"

badsidemanner May 28 2006, 09:01:05 UTC
"Not particularly."

But there is something called Pride there in spades, and it makes House drag his legs a little, right reeeeeeeeeally struggling. He hurts.

"Vicodin. Need it. Soon. M' leg. Painkillers."

Don't make the haggard doctor beg.

That's OK. Kaylee has strong mechanic arms. See her wrap one around him and support some of his weight, all friendly-like.

"Never you worry," she says. "We've got the best doctor in the whole verse inside. He'll fix you right up, you'll see."

"Erin?"

Mel strides towards the wreckage, helping people that stumble, pointing them where to go, but all the time studying faces, searching for blonde hair or blue eyes.

Trying not to panic.

"Erin?"

And then there's a thin hand, pushing up a piece of wing, grumbling various curses probably heard amonst the beat cops of Versi --

-- followed by Erin's dusty, slightly muddy and blood-covered head.

"Hey, Mel."

Screw that piece of wing. That piece of wing's being violently being thrown away from the scene, from everyone standing around, from Mel's sister, and strong but more swollen than usual hands are pulling her free from the wreckage, even as tears start welling up in her eyes.

"Erin!"

And Mel is swept into a hug, despite Erin's wounds, and her pregnancy, because the things she heard -- and the things Harth said --

"I'll admit it, I was worried sick."

When Beka regained consciousness, she noticed three things in this order: they were not moving, Harper was not there, and she was bleeding all over the place.

"A LITTLE HELP!" She called, trying to locate which set of stitches had pulled, "I'M BLEEDING ALL OVER THE PLACE, IN HERE!"

Kaylee's done a swap. She's left one doctor in the infirmary and come hurrying out with another: her doctor, towards any bleeding people.

"What do I do?" she says to Simon as they close in.

He hurries over to Beka, bag in hand with everything he could grab in a rush.

"First thing, we need to clean her up a little and find the wound", he directs at Kaylee over his shoulder.

"OK," Kaylee grimaces a little, trying to swallow her panic, but crouches down next to the wounded, moving wreckage out of the way.

"Now, don't you worry none," she says. "Simon here's the best doctor in the 'verse."

Ladies and gentlemen, Alex Krycek!

He's here to contribute to the ongoing Blood Drive that isn't really for anyone, it's just that... everyone's bleeding.

Harth didn't tell me the damn thing would explode, he thinks, hobbling off the ship in a state of slight dismay.

His head hurts. It's bleeding. He feels light-headed.

He's been through worse, but seriously, OW.

Azula started her way back inside, no need to linger with these people. Not when there were other things to do. She stopped at a bleeding man standing in her way, "Move."

Krycek stares at the woman and blinks.

Well, that's a welcome he certainly didn't expect.

"Excuse me?"
