Imagine you are walking down home and you decide to drown the traffic sounds with some music. Does your walk (pace or style) change when you plug in your earphones?

I definitely can run/jog longer if I put on my music. For me, it is a healthy way to distract the cribs from my lazy body. And yes, I run faster and better with trace music pounding away in my ear phones; though I lately I love listening to some of the extra-ordinary western classical music (think 1812 Overture or Last movement; 9th Symphony Beethoven). To answer your post, yes; the music from my ipod have a distinct impression on my form and pose while running/walking.

I have been walking back home from work in order to avoid crossing the terribly crowded road in front of my house. If I take an office cab, it drops me on the other side. So instead walking down 2.5 kms is a better option. It cannot do bad things to my health either. Anyhow, I realized this when I changed the music on my iPod. I got home quicker! :D

Absolutely! If I'm listening to a peppy song, there's an instant spring in my step. And if I'm listening to a slow song, I tend to walk leisurely, without meaning to.

I know! I have been walking to the tunes of A.R. Rehman's peppy music for a Tamil movie these days and there always is a spring in my step.

Yeah, I was in too many years of marching band NOT to walk in time to the rhythm of the music, unless it's just WAY too fast or too slow.

Hmm... in Bangalore if you plug on the your earphones while wlaking down the road, you're most likely to end up splat on your face because someone ran you over:o) Okay, just kidding :)

Do you think traffic sense is any better here? There is no concept of footpath in this city! Really, people drive two wheelers, cars, and even buses on the footpath. And I am not kidding.
