My friend bookczuk is at the hospital right now for one of her mom's breast cancer surgeries. For her blog entry this morning, she used the identifying tag "fight like a girl", which made me smile. The more I thought about it, though, the more profound it became

You made me cry this morning. I love you to pieces. I donated already to your walk, but I'm going to scrape up some more in honor of Amy's mom. I used to be friends with her and her mom back before I left ... and we never reconnected and I think about both of them often. Please give them both my love and let them know I'm praying.
