Received Mr Zappia's reply by snail mail. Short, to the point, and highly uninformative, but with a kinda-useful link (which was a sod to type).

I suspect it might be an idea to express the sentiments in your last paragraph to you MP directly. At least that way you might find out what he thinks, or if he really doesn't give a shit.

The end result of a similar conrrespondence with my (then) MP on the Iraq war was that they felt that it wasn't their job to represent the views of their constituents. Oddly they did not survive the next election.
