I would just like to answer my own question from my previous post, and report that yes, indeed, Bruce Banner is played by a new actor in the Whedon Avengers. Banner is played by the young Peter Falk

Ahahahaha! I would never have thought of that, but now that you've said it, I totally see it. For me, Ruffalo as Banner/Hulk was the best part of the movie.

KFOG was playing clips from "Wings of Desire" on "Ten At Ten" the other day, and it really made me want to watch that movie again.

I haven't seen any of the prequel movies. Are Black Widow and Hawkeye featured in any of them? They seemed to have the most backstory in "Avengers," and they're the two characters I know the least about.

Widow is in Iron Man 2, but you don't know she's BW for the first half. Hawkeye has like a two minute cameo in Thor, just enough so they could bring him in for Avengers.
