( SYNOPSIS )

It doesn't matter how you hear it (from the news, the internet, word of mouth), but everyone's saying the same thing: people are dying.

Nobody knows how it started, nobody knows how to stop it. An unknown sickness, they say. It works in stages. At first you're just a little under the weather (isn't that always the way?) Then, you develop a fever. Shortness of breath. Maybe feel nauseous - the symptoms are hard to track. You see, it isn't just your world. It's affecting the other ones too. It's in every world. And for each world, the strain differs slightly. The speed it works at, the severity of some stages. But the end result is the same everywhere.

People are dying.

And maybe you're already sick. Maybe you aren't, yet.

Then, you find something one day. A strange ball, floating, glowing slightly - it seems to draw you to it. You reach out, touch it - and suddenly your mind is filled with news footage, with pictures of . . . the future? In a second, you understand: this is just the beginning. This is happening everywhere. And if it carries on like this, your world will be wiped out. Maybe all the worlds will.

"If you can hear this, please -" static rolls in, but the beacon glows even brighter now "- we need your help." It's their last chance, they say. They're dying, too, and most of the other worlds are already gone. They don't know what happened, they're trying their best to fix it, but they need your help - they can't do this alone.

You start to ask, but why? Why me? But it doesn't seem to matter.

Before you even get the chance, you're already where they need you to be. A central station full of others like you, just as confused, just as lost. But some of them look like they've been here for a while, and you know this because of the first question they ask:

"Will you help?"

A simple yes or no answer - that's all they're really looking for.
