Ooooooo....

So very nice. I love your even, sedate pacing on this, and the lovely detailing of the kids playing in the snow. I loved how you took Byakuya's musings from beginning to end, and where you ended it.

Yeah... having both Byakuya and Zaraki as "parents" would be quite the education. *laughs* Lovely with Rukia being the older sister. *dances* And I can just see Zaraki and Yachiru's practice bouts. Hee.

Oh thank you so much for the very lovely and complimentary remarks. I'm always so grateful when readers tell me what it is they liked, and I was so hoping the way I wrote this would reflect Byakuya's personality. :D

*giggles* I have to admit I adore the thought of Byakuya and Kenpachi as parents. I often wonder what it would be like if they actually got along rather than just tolerated each other. ;)

Thanks so much for reading this, I hope you know how much I really appreciate it and the thoughtful comments as well. :D

It does amuse me thinking of Byakuya worrying about Yachiru while Kenpachi keeps pushing her. *laughs*

You're very welcome!

And, yeah, I thought it fit Byakuya quite well. Especially the early attempts to Just. Get. Her. Out. And only realizing after it succeeds that he misses her. *laughs* That's very Byakuya.

This is adorable. I'm so glad to see Byakuya and Yachiru together in a non-romantic way.

I won't ever be able to write Byakuya and Yachiu in a romantic setting. I think it just weirds me out too much. XD

Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to comment. I really appreciate the feedback.:D

You're welcome. I've read a few romantic stories by good authors, but in the end the ewww factor still remains.

Oh I have read a couple of very lovely Byakuya/Yachiru romance pairings, but it's a lot different head space between writing it and reading it and suspend my disbelief. ;)

A lovely read. I esp. like the mention of Rukia's zanpakutou and its recreational uses. yawns_widely February 27 2009, 19:16:34 UTC
It was then Byakuya realized he couldn’t see Kurosaki anymore. That thought briefly changed the gentle upturn of his lips into a rare smile. I love these lines best. Having the strait laced, who you've already established to be slightly thawed over a significant period of time (and yet still consumately poised) Byakuya smiling at a buried Ichigo is perfect and completely IC. It's seriously making me chuckle. The rabbit themed snowmen made me smile too. You did a good job of making everyone IC, with the little touches.

This is a really lovely piece. The pacing is good and the progression is excellent. The decorated rooms and their effect upon Byakuya made my heart ache a little. It has real feeling and nothing is forced. I'm impressed Annie. Did you draw upon your own bundles of joy terror when you mentioned 'Byakuya watched as Yachiru made another snowman. Like her drawings, they were difficult to decipher and unique.'? 'cause the description is just so natural and pleasing. Your narration speaks of experience and it gives the story ( ... )

I really, really wanted you to like this story, especially given that my attempt at Byakuya for you was so much fail that I couldn't even post it ( ... )
