In the Chinese version, at least the one that my students here read there are two wolves and they are both brutally murdered by Little Red Riding Hood and her gran. Happy ending all the way. Seriously
Three little pigs is not a much better story here - only the smart ass one lives through the ordeal :). I guess they have to ingrain the fact that only the fittest survive. China, after all, suffers from overpopulation...:) Have a great day and don't go opening doors to hungry wolves;)
