Ok but seriously, get ready for some TMI IUD talk, starting now. I finally got scheduled for my IUD appointment and went to have my insertion today. I've heard good things, but just enough horror stories to worry me a little. I don't really have a high tolerance for pain so I was really nervous, but everything went quite well. It really depends on your insurance. My family met our deductable for the year, so we are trying to do any doctors visits we need now before the year is up because the insurance companies will be covering most of the bill :)

Ooh do you have a Mirena?! I have one and I loooove it. The only thing is, I had bleeding/heavy spotting for, um, quite a while, so be prepared to have some ruined panties. Other than that, it's amaaazing.

It's so strange because I totally expected that, but I am dry as a well! I was right in the middle of my period when I got my insertion and I haven't bled since. Still wearing panty liners just be safe though :-P

Oh man, that sounds pretty terrifying. $10 for birth control is pretty awesome, though - here, we have to pay £25 just to get the morning after pill.

It really wasn't as scary as I thought it would be, definitely worth it. Though it was only just $10 because my insurance company covered the other $590 haha.
