Remember, though, that LA got more rain than Seattle last year -- it was insane. It was also interesting to watch the progression along the learning curve for drivers there. There is this one intersection between The Meadows and Sepulveda-Centinela where this massive pothole accrued a bunch of water very quickly. In the first week of the storms last year the cars would approach it like little girls, very slowly, as if afraid of getting their tires wet. In two weeks they were zooming through it like it was nothing -- which, comparatively, at that point, it was.

Yeah, for all that they still don't understand rain. I was 1 of 2 people in a team of 16 who was on time. The lead didn't expect to start for an hour due to the weather. Pansies. =D

That's one of the things about California that scares me... a little drizzle, and suddenly the whole damn area shuts down like it's a friggin' hurricane.
