• Firefox not only doesn’t have Emacs keybindings for text (which might be hackable), it doesn’t even fully have standard OS X keybindings! I can shift-option-arrow to select words, but I can’t up or down arrow to go to the start/end of a line. I’m going to try this for a couple of days, though, and see how much I hate it.

That too, of course. I'm trying really hard not to choose on the "general UI" basis, though, because if that was all it took, I'd go back to Safari. Which I probably will do, but not yet.

Mind you, when I control-click in Firefox on a word I type, I do not get the proper context menu (including spellchecker). That is just ass behaviour.
