putting the opera in "space opera"

So California composer Steven W. Clark has written an opera based on "Amok Time." In his use of the original script as libretto, and in nothing else, it is slightly reminiscent of Britten's Midsummer Night's Dream. ;)

It is AWESOME(ly hilarious). Although I don't think I would have written Spock as a tenor. Or made the episode dialogue audible ( Read more... )

(if you haven't read thefourthvine's Amok Time summary, I HIGHLY recommend it. HIGHLY. VERY)

I've just finished playing part 3, and I am seeing you in the T'Pau part.
You would do the Glare, and be so much more Imposing than this woman. She sings well, but she doesn't have the Manner.

And Spock was never meant to be a tenor. NO WAI!
