poetry time!

Apparently it is National Poetry Day in the UK, and since many of my British friends have posted poetry for the US National Poetry Month, and furthermore it is always a good time for poetry, here is a poem. The theme this year is "Work," so here is one that is appropriate.

It's not really Poetry Day. They just call it to get some poeple writing whenever we are running low on stocks.

It's a complicated rhyme - ABABBCBC - reminds me just how much I enjoy medieval English prose and poetry.

The garden in my new place is definitely of the 'combrous clot of claye' variety - very heavy poor soil - I'm going to have to dig it deep and put in much mulch before it will yield good harvest.
