... why did I read that as "orgasmic raspberry pixies dancing on my tongue?"

Well, that works too. ;) "Orgiastic" does mean "pertaining to orgies," so... ;)

Darling, do you think it's time for you to do something about your RII obsession?

catnip_junkie came over yesterday and we indulged in quantities of Shakeslash. She agrees that Coriolanus/Aufidius is incredibly hot, that Alan Rickman looks ludicrous in that haircut and worse in those tights as Tybalt (but admired his arse nonetheless), and that Jon Finch is indeed skankalicious as the dying Henry IV (was it leprosy, she wondered?) and incredibly gay as Don Pedro.

How was the readthrough? Music and merriment and lots of sack, I hope? Did Amarilli work in the end, assuming it was that you played?

I'm off to Stratford in two hours!

But then how would I survive the dissertation-writing? ;)

Some of the medieval chroniclers do indeed suggest that Henry IV died of leprosy, and the Beeb production clearly took its cue from this, although historically he probably didn't. And the readthrough's not until tonight. I've decided that I will indeed go with "Amarilli."

Have a good trip! Though you've probably left by now...
