Time for me to be relevant to the plot

What: Just fun times really, hostage taking, shooting people, etc.
When: Immediately prior to the start of Shrike and Falcon
Where: Someplace quiet where nobody will hear the screams, at least at first

Thankful for a relatively quiet day off, Zoe made her way to the hangar to meet with Anew. Seeing her, she rose a hand and waved, smiling. "Hey. Hard at work as always I see."

Everything moving in a slow blur, she looked up at Anew when she pointed her gun at her, body starting to shake. Her eyes... that was the first time she noticed how they looked. Transfixed as Anew pulled her to her feet, her voice came with a bit of trouble. "W... Anew, why are you doing this?"

The sounds of gunfire and commotion sent Setsuna running from the nearby hangar, but his arrival came too late. He rushed through the door and immediately spied the fallen Kira, eyes widening in shock. They flickered next to the gun-wielding Anew and her captive. He drew his pistol without a second thought, thrusting the barrel in Anew's direction. He inched forward bit by careful bit.

"What's going on here, Anew?" Setsuna growled. "Explain yourself. Now."

If I let you have Kira, will you give me five minutes of alone-time with Zoe? <3 <3 <3

"Simple," Anew answered as she turned so that much of her body was obstructed by poor, terrified Zoe.

"I'm an Innovator. I mean... with a name like Anew Returner... and nobody guessing it... I must say I'm rather disappointed in you, Setsuna."

Setsuna busting onto the scene, she felt herself move between the two, acting as a human shield. Looking at Setsuna somewhat pleadingly, she started to turn her head toward Anew. "You're a..."

"An Innovator," Setsuna finished for Zoe, lips curling into a snarl. "The same as me. Anew, stop this before someone else gets hurt. Step away from Zoe and put down your gun. It doesn't have to end this way."

Eyes flashing as he began to close in, he added, "But if you want a bullet through your skull that badly, I'll oblige you."

Anew paused before slowly taking the gun away from Zoe's head. "Setsuna... you and I are nothing alike. Even now, with the power of 00-Raiser, you lack the capacity to change the world... or even win simple battles when the Twin Drive system should make you invincible.

"But at the same time..." she let out a weary sigh. "Right now you have the capacity to end my life, which makes all of that quite meaningless, now doesn't it?" Her grip on Zoe loosened gradually, and finally gently pushing Zoe forward to Setsuna...

... Before immediately doubling-up with a much more forceful shove before turning and running for the other exit. Though her aim would no doubt suffer she still fired a parting shot at Setsuna and Zoe, one that tore through part of Zoe's left shirt sleeve.

Stumbling forward, she let out a bit of a cry when Anew fired, feeling her sleeve tear before falling to the ground.

Ignoring Anew's taunts for the moment, Setsuna surged forward to catch Zoe, managing a few quick shots over his shoulder at Anew as she fled. Kira's blood soaked through his uniform, his gloves, dripping everywhere. Regardless, he steadied Zoe by her shoulders and spoke quickly; time was of the essence.

"Zoe, are you alright? Snap out of it!"

AUGH.

Falling into yet another person, it took her a second before she looked up at Setsuna, still shaking. There were no words, and even if there were she couldn't think of them.

"Setsuna."

His hands flew to either side of her face, gripping tight. "Listen, Zoe. Stay with Kira. Get him to the infirmary as soon as you can, but be careful along the way. There could be other agents. I'm going after Anew."

His voice rang of uncharacteristic desperation, nearly at a tremble, "Stay alive for me. Please."

Setsuna then backed away, giving Zoe one last worried look before springing into action to head Anew off.

Even if I can't change the world...

With these blood-stained hands, I will protect them!

Watching Setsuna run off, it took her a moment before she scrambled toward Kira, sitting there for a moment. Machines she knew; first aid not as much. She at least knew it was best to put pressure on a wound, and pulling off her overshirt with trembling hands, she carefully tried to sit him up, putting the balled up shirt to his shoulder.

Her voice shook worse than her hands did. "K-Kira, hey Kira. Are you ok-kay?"

Kira nods at her and grunts through the pain. Really its not that bad right now. He is just certain he is going to have to live with it for a while. "I'll be fine for now." He sighs, "It's just a graze except..." He looks at the wound which has a familiar red glow to it and signs again. "Never mind, can you help me to the infirmary?"
