On pain

My back hurts. I have no idea what I've done to piss it off this time but I wish it would just go away and leave me alone. I'm fine when I'm standing and lying down but sitting is guaranteed to produce agony. It came on yesterday and if it's not gone by Sunday I really will be rather annoyed.

That's about all that has happened to me recently.

I tend to find ice works best for my pain which is, usually, inflammation related. I have, however, heard that alternating hot and cold can be even more effective.

The painkillers I take are fine - they take the edge off the pain and make my head fuzzy to the point where I care less. Unfortunately, because of this, I can't really take them during the day. People shouldn't really be 'high' whilst working in a pharmacy!
