One of my big takeaways from Mobile World Congress was that all the phones were the same and that the phone technology had stopped being the differentiator.
When I started out in phones it was all the chipsets, radio and screens... that's all settled now, except for incremental issues and it's more what the thing can do on top.
Oh yes. Phone chipsets are now so commodified that there aren't really changes happening to chipsets and suchlike, so far as I understand.
Screens still coming in a variety of sizes, and reviewers will quibble over different display technologies, but the majority of people don't even notice any more.
