One nice thing about Facebook is how it reminds you about things you've posted in the past on that date. Today's reminder was a photo of Jeffrey, and I realized that, as of yesterday, it has been nine years since I embarked upon the adventure of being owned by cats. As of today, I've had Hana longer than I had Abby. My, how time flies! It still feels like it wasn't that long ago that I was drawn to that sweet face at the shelter. I'm so lucky that she and Maia get along so well, too!

So I thought I was doing poorly when I nearly forgot Maia's birthday... and then I completely forgot Hana's birthday until several days after the fact. I'm thrilled to say she's doing better today! This morning I wasn't so sure, since she wasn't particularly interested in breakfast (not unusual for her, really), but she did at least act perkier, and I thought it seemed like she felt cooler, too ( Read more... )

So Hana and I had an adventure today... we spent nearly four hours at a local emergency vet, starting at the time I normally I would have been heading to church.
