Aww, Sherlock with his hair ruffled from sleep and John’s hands, looking at him with a smile that is almost shy. It must be a sight!

Also, don't worry, the connection between the prompt and the fic is obvious: until Sherlock, John suffered from a "total eclipse of the heart". :D

I guess Sherlock 'eclipsed' every previous lover? IDK... it doesn't matter anyway - as long as the prompt gets you writing, then it's done its bit!

I'm getting very demanding of illustrations, it seems, but I'd pay good money to see Sherlock with his hair 'ruffled from sleep and John’s hands' and with 'a smile that is almost shy'.

That would be a brilliant explanation, but doesn't make me facepalm in recollection, so that wasn't it. ;)

Sadly my stories are either not read by any artists or just not inspiring. *haz a sad*

Oh, always take credit for explanations you like! I can't count the number of times people (and when I say 'people', I mostly mean Chocola) has said something like, "Oh, it's so clever the way you linked this back to *insert reference to canon, or an earlier fic here*"

D'you think I admit it was a total fluke? Not at all!

PS As for the 'flood', I've been hoarding my 'anarion updated their journal!' notifications a bit while I've been busy - treating myself to a 'catch up day' today!
